The Catalog
The PourCost catalog seeds your bar with brand-correct data so you're not typing label sheets by hand.
Updated May 6, 2026
The catalog is a curated database of bottles, beers, wines, and modifiers, with sizes and starter costs already filled in. Searching it before adding an ingredient saves typing and unlocks features downstream.
What the catalog gives you
- Brand name and product line, spelled correctly.
- Default container size for the most common SKU.
- A starter cost in your local currency, ready to override.
- Background metadata: origin, parent company, flavor notes, aging, production region.
Why metadata matters
When you search "agave spirits" or "Italian amaro," the catalog fields are what surface the right matches. When you adopt a library cocktail, the metadata is how PourCost figures out which bottle in your bar plays the role the original recipe called for.
What if your bottle isn't in the catalog
You can always add a custom ingredient. Tap "Add custom" at the bottom of the catalog search. Custom ingredients work everywhere catalog ingredients do; they just don't carry the brand metadata.
