Review & Match

The review screen turns extracted text into actual ingredient updates. Match each line to a bottle in your inventory.

OCR gets you 80% of the way. The review screen is where you confirm what each line item is, match it to inventory, and decide what to push.

What you'll see

  • Extracted lines. One per row: product name, size, quantity, unit cost, line total.
  • Match status. Auto-matched lines show a green checkmark. Unmatched lines show a yellow flag.
  • New line option. If the line is a product you don't carry yet, tap to add it as a new ingredient on the spot.

How auto-matching decides

PourCost cross-references the extracted product name and size against your inventory and the catalog. High-confidence matches auto-link; low-confidence ones surface for you to confirm. You can override any match by tapping the line.

Editing a line

  1. Tap any field to correct OCR errors (cost, size, quantity).
  2. Tap the match chip to swap to a different ingredient or to create a new one.
  3. Mark a line "ignore" if it's a fee, a credit, or junk.

Tip

Take the extra minute to match every line. A mis-matched cost gets pushed to the wrong bottle, which then quietly poisons every cocktail that uses it. Slow on review, fast on push.
