Pour Sizes

Set the standard pour for each ingredient type once, instead of typing it on every drink.

When you add a spirit, PourCost defaults the pour size to your house spec. Settings is where you set those defaults.

Industry-standard starting points

  • Spirit: 1.5oz (a standard cocktail pour).
  • Wine: 5 to 6oz.
  • Beer: 12oz pint or can; 16oz for a draft pint.
  • Liqueur / modifier: 0.75oz or 0.5oz depending on spec.
  • Bitters: 1 dash (roughly 1/32oz).

How to change them

  1. Open Settings from the drawer.
  2. Tap Pour Sizes.
  3. Adjust each type's default. Save.

Tip

New ingredients you add after a change inherit the new default. Existing ingredients keep whatever pour size they were saved with; edit them individually if you want to retroactively update.
