Pour Sizes

Set your standard pour for each ingredient type once, instead of typing it on every bottle.

When you add a bottle, PourCost starts its pour size at your house standard for that type. This is where you set those standards.

The defaults

  • Spirit: 1.5oz.
  • Beer: 12oz.
  • Wine: 5oz.
  • Non-Alc: 1oz (mixers, juices, syrups).

Pour a 2oz spirit or a 16oz draft? Change it here and every new bottle of that type starts there.

How to change them

  1. Open Settings → Calculations.
  2. Tap Default Pour Sizes.
  3. Tap a type and pick its pour. It saves right away.

Tip

New ingredients pick up the new default. Ones you've already saved keep their pour size, so edit those one at a time if you want them to match.

Small pours

Bitters and bar spoons get set in the recipe itself. In PourCost a dash is 0.5ml and a bar spoon is 5ml.
